About the festival
DOWN THE HILL: A Festival Fueled by Passion and Community

What began in 2018 as a dream shared by a group of friends with a love for music and events has since evolved into something much greater. From these humble beginnings, DOWN THE HILL grew into a thriving festival, supported by the non-profit organization Which Mountain?, which oversees all the essential groundwork behind the scenes.

The festival owes its success to a dedicated core crew and a vibrant community of volunteers who pour their time and energy into bringing the event to life each year. In recent years, the festival has also been embraced by a network of partners whose support has made its continued growth and financial sustainability possible.

Together, this collective spirit ensures that DOWN THE HILL remains a celebration of music, camaraderie, and creativity—an experience crafted by the community, for the community.

Mission
Curating Music, Keeping It Cozy

At Down The Hill, we pride ourselves on crafting a diverse lineup each year—showcasing a mix of talented local bands alongside renowned (inter)national acts. Our goal is to celebrate music in all its forms, creating a stage where both rising stars and established artists can shine.

To maintain the festival’s intimate and welcoming atmosphere, we deliberately keep it small. This ensures a cozy, laid-back vibe where music lovers can truly connect—with the performances, the setting, and each other.
Vision
A Festival Rooted in Sustainability and Community

Nestled on the grounds of an organic farm, DOWN THE HILL takes pride in its commitment to ecological practices. From reusable cups and plates to our (vegan) food trucks serving dishes made with organically grown ingredients, every effort is made to keep the festival green and clean.

But sustainability isn’t our only focus. At the heart of DOWN THE HILL is a welcoming, convivial atmosphere. With two stages and carefully curated schedules that ensure no overlapping performances, you can enjoy every act without missing a beat. And as the day transitions into evening, the meadow is bathed in the warm glow of a large bonfire—an experience that embodies the festival’s intimate charm.

To preserve this unique vibe, we’re limiting ticket sales to just 900 this year. So, don’t wait—secure your spot and join us for an unforgettable celebration of music, sustainability, and community!
